Recently, fifteen teachers from Ten Cambodian Colleges attached to the Ministry of Labor of Cambodia came to ZBVI for a 15-day professional training program. The training program includes general introduction to Chinese vocational education, academic conference and research about the curriculums, quality control and teaching methodology of the majors in Automobile Engineering, Construction Engineering and Electrical and Electronic Engineering. Besides, the Cambodian teachers were also invited to visit some college laboratories and many local factories which have long been cooperating with ZBVI.
The opening ceremony of the training program for the Cambodian teachers was held in the “Li De” Building in north campus of ZBVI. Ms. Yang Baimei, President of ZBVI and Mr. Jiang Yilin Vice President of ZBVI, together with all the trainees, attended the ceremony,
At the opening ceremony, Ms. Yang first made a warm welcome speech to all the Cambodian teachers and introduced teaching schedule. She also recalled the development of the cooperation among ZBVI and Ministry of Labor and universities of Cambodia. Finally she expressed her best wishes to all trainees and hoped they could become the messengers of friendship between the two countries.
Mr. GUO Xingbao, a teacher from Cambodian Institute of Industrial Technology, gave a speech on behalf of all trainees. He said that the rapid development of China’s economy, technology and society had a close connection with the advanced vocational education. They came to ZBVI in the hope of learning the modern philosophy, idea and methodology of Chinese vocational education and sharing them with their colleagues and students at home in the future.
The Dean of Construction Engineering College also spoke on behalf of the lecturers and trainersof ZBVI, promising to make every effort to teach well and try their best to meet all the demands of the Cambodian trainees.
According to the teaching plan, the program starts from a two-day lecture course. Vice-president Jiang Yilin made the first lecture titled Overview of the Chinese Vocational Education, including an overall introduction to the Chinese education, Chinese Vocational Education andsome of his personal instructive feelings and experience about college management. In addition, two directors of Academic Division also made lectures on Curriculums Standards and the overall teaching arrangement. During the lectures, all the trainees and lectures had heated discussions on the given topics.
